Among their latest ventures is “8 Vasanthalu,” a concept-based film directed by Phanindra Narsetti. Narsetti, who has won international awards at the Mofilm festivals in Goa and Kathmandu. Made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed film “Manu.”
Today, the makers introduced the lead character, HER, portrayed by Ananthika Sanilkumar of MAD fame. She plays Shuddhi Ayodhya, a character who exudes poetic beauty with her wet eyes and smiling face. Her appearance is enhanced by mascara, earrings, and a nose ring, adding to her charm.
Shuddhi Ayodhya is depicted as a sensible daughter, compassionate friend, unconditional lover, fierce martial arts student, inspiring writer, and graceful human being. “8 Vasanthalu” explores Shuddhi’s transformative journey from a calm 19-year-old to an intense 27-year-old over eight years, navigating a multitude of people, emotions, and places. Her name, Shuddhi, meaning ‘Purity,’ reflects her personality, as she embodies grace and dignity in her words, thoughts, and deeds, even in challenging times. In essence, she is poetry in motion.

Director Phanindra Narsetti showcases his poetic sensibility through evocative posters and compelling quotes. The title poster piqued curiosity, while the first-look poster of Ananthika invites viewers into the world of “8 Vasanthalu.”
The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar. Vishwanath Reddy serves as the director of photography, Naresh Kumaran composes the music, Aravind Mule is the production designer, and Shashank Mali is the editor. Babasai Kumar Mamidipalli acts as the executive producer. The shoot is currently in progress.
