For almost four years Junaid, Aamir Khan’s son has been training himself to make his acting debut in the Indian Film Industry. Signing up with Yash Raj Films, the leading production house for his debut in this industry.
This is termed to be the ambitious drama project for the production house. Which is supposed to be during the 1862 Maharaja Libel Case. Maharaj features Sharvari, Jaideep Ahlawata, and Shalini Pandey in key roles.
By this project, it would be the third direct-to-digital project for the production house. Comes after the Romantics and The Railway Men.

Sources say that the shoot was wrapped up in October last year. And then the makers announced that this would be a direct-to-digital film on Netflix. Sources also say that the film, Maharaj is all set to come up on OTT in June 2024.
Maharaj” is scheduled to premiere on Netflix on June 14, 2024. According to insiders, YRF and Aditya Chopra have strong confidence in the film’s content and believe that Netflix will help it reach a global audience. Both YRF and Netflix are gearing up for the digital launch on June 14, 2024, with a focused marketing campaign in place for “Maharaj,” as revealed by a source close to the project.
