Alia Bhatt says ‘Naatu Naatu plays in my home every day’
Alia Bhatt is going all out to promote her upcoming film Jigra, which she stars and produces. She’s putting in extra effort to ensure the movie gets solid promotion in the Telugu-speaking states. Distributed by Asian Suresh Entertainments LLP, Jigra is set to hit theatres worldwide on October 11.
This won’t be Alia’s first foray into Telugu cinema, as her previous films RRR, Brahmastra Part 1, and Gangubai Kathiawadi were also released in Telugu. However, Jigra marks a milestone for Alia as it’s her first production to have a Telugu-language release.

During a recent interaction, Alia emphasized the significance of holding a pre-release event in Hyderabad. She praised the Telugu audience, noting their unparalleled love for films, regardless of language or industry. Alia also shared a charming story about her connection with the Oscar-winning hit song Naatu Naatu.
She revealed, “We play Naatu Naatu every day at home because my daughter Raha is a big fan. She loves listening to it and even dances along. One day, she found a clip of me dancing to the song at an awards show, and now she insists I join in. So, I just lean against something and do the signature foot-shifting step. The song has become even more special to me because of her.”
