Amitabh Bachchan Shares Warm Tribute to Thalaivar 170 Co-Star Rajinikanth: “He Hasn’t Changed At All…”

Amitabh Bachchan’s latest Instagram post is grabbing everyone’s attention. He has shared a happy picture with another megastar, Rajinikanth. The veteran actors are all set to share the screen after 33 years in the upcoming film ‘Thalaivar 170’ which is also known as ‘Vettaiyan’. They had previously collaborated on films like ‘Hum’, ‘Andhaa Kaanoon’, and ‘Geraftaar’.
In the image, Big B and Rajinikanth can be seen sharing a warm hug. In his caption, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “I am honoured and privileged to be with the great Thala Rajinikanth again… He hasn’t changed at all… The same simple, humble, and down-to-earth friend despite his stratospheric greatness.”
Amitabh Bachchan recently shared some snapshots with Rajinikanth on his Tumblr blog. Along with the Instagram post, there were two more images – one black and white frame showing the duo standing side by side, and another capturing them seated at a table.
The side note mentioned that Amitabh took a short break at work and enjoyed a beautiful and calming drive along the Sea Link at 9:08. And Marine Drive at 9:28 before heading straight to the set on time. He also expressed his joy in seeing the final constructs of the Coastal. Which he never believed would happen but is happening now.

However, the greater joy was being in the company of the legendary Rajinikanth at work, who remains humble, simple, and down-to-earth as always. Amitabh considers it a privilege and honor to work alongside him.
Last year in October, Lyca Productions, the production company responsible for the film Vettaiyan, shared a behind-the-scenes photo of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth on the movie’s set. The photo was posted on Twitter, now known as X, with the caption, “When Superstar and Shahenshah met on the sets of Thalaivar 170.
