Anushka Shetty, one of the talented and top actresses has been quite selective with the film she chooses. Talking of selective movies, her recent film Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty has performed decent at the box office.
Anushka has signed a film with director Krish which is a women-centric movie. They have recently completed a few shoot schedules for the film. The actress has also joined sets of her first Malayalam film titled – ‘Kathanar’ – The Wild Sorcerer.
Anushka has received a warm welcome from the team on the sets of this movie. A couple of pictures of Anushka from the sets are going viral.

The first schedule of the film was completed without Anushka and the actress joined the sets later. The film is based on Kadamattathu Kathanar, a priest in Kerala. Sree Gokulam Movies are the producers of the film and Kathanar – The Wild Sorcerer is to be released next year.
Anushka, was born in Mangalore, Karnataka, and hails from a Tulu-speaking family. But she has interestingly never acted in a Kannada film. After debuting in 2005 with Puri Jagannadh’s heist film Super, which also starred Nagarjuna, Ayesha Takia. She gained fame in Telugu with films like Vikramarkudu, Arundhati, Billa, and Vedam.
But the Baahubali films hit the roof for her fame and she pulled back after that, choosing to act in a few projects. She has since starred in Bhagamathie and Nishbdham, playing a cameo in Chiranjeevi’s Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Her most recent film is the 2023 rom-com Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty with Naveen Polishetty which happen to be a decent hit.
