The blockbuster Telugu romantic-comedy movie Arya celebrated its 20th anniversary on Tuesday. The movie was written and directed by Sukumar. Marking his directorial debut, and it was a significant milestone in Allu Arjun’s career.
To show appreciation and gratitude, the team gathered to celebrate the occasion. And Allu Arjun shared insights into his bond with director Sukumar and more. Allu Arjun spoke about Sukumar’s influence on his life, saying that Sukumar had changed his life significantly.
He added that if someone asked him who had the most impact on his life. He would answer none other than Sukumar. The actor also described how Arya changed his life and called it the biggest jump he ever made. He said that from -100, he went to +100 because of Arya, and it will always be the biggest jump in his life.

The director Sukumar also shared an interesting detail about the initial casting of Arya. On the suggestion of Dil Raju, he narrated the story to Prabhas, but he wasn’t sure if the actor could do the role.
It was then that he saw Allu Arjun at a special preview of Dil and was amazed by his body language and persona. He narrated the first half of Arya to him, and he was very happy.
Following the success of this film, Allu Arjun and Sukumar collaborated once more for Arya 2 and Pusha: The Rise, which were also big hits. Now, the nation awaits their collaboration once again in the sequel of Pushpa scheduled for release on August 15, 2024.
