Big B says ‘The Run is on’ after huge success of Kalki, now to KBC
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is set to don the host’s hat once again. For the 16th season of the popular TV quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati. The beloved show is making a comeback due to popular demand. As announced by Sony TV with a promo on social media.
On Thursday, Amitabh Bachchan shared a black and white picture from the sets of KBC 16 on social media. Captioning it, “T 5082 – BACK to KBC 16th season..” In another candid click, he can be seen running. With the caption, “T 5083 – yes back and still no change in routine – the run is on.”
The promo started with an emotional speech given by Big B while wrapping up the last season. As it concluded, a voiceover said. “Har aarambh ka ant tay hai magar apnon ke pyar mein jo anand hai.. to har ant ke baad shubharambh nishchit hai..” Big B then added, “Gunja jo aapke pyar ka shankhnaad, to aana padega fir” (The sound of your love echoes, I will have to come again).
Amitabh Bachchan has been a constant part of the show since it began in 2000, except for one season in 2006, when Shah Rukh Khan replaced him as the host.

Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in the futuristic film Kalki 2898 AD. Ever since its release in June, the film has received widespread acclaim for its performances and has been praised by fans and the film industry alike. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the post-apocalyptic film is inspired by Hindu scriptures and set in the year 2898 AD. The cast includes Deepika Padukone, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Disha Patani, with cameos by Vijay Deverakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, and Mrunal Thakur.
