Bobby Deol Joins Jr NTR Starrer Devara as Villain
Devara, starring Jr NTR, has become one of the most anticipated films of the year. Adding to the excitement, it has been reported that Bobby Deol has been roped in for the film, joining Saif Ali Khan as one of the antagonists. According to reports, Bobby Deol’s role will be significant, especially in the film’s second part.
A source quoted by a media unit said, “Yes, the team is in talks with Bobby Deol and discussions are in the final stage. Bobby will also play an antagonist in this movie. Saif Ali Khan will be the main antagonist in Devara Part 1, and Bobby Deol will enter Devara Part 1 towards the end of the film. In Devara Part 2, both Saif and Bobby will have meaty roles as antagonists.”
The film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, marking her debut in South Indian cinema and her first collaboration with Jr NTR. “Janhvi Kapoor will not have a very extensive role in Devara Part 1. Most of her sequences will be part of the second film. But it’s an exciting role for her,” the source added.

Set against the coastal lands and directed by Koratala Siva. Devara features Saif Ali Khan in a key role, along with Ramya Krishna. Several reports suggest that actress Chaitra Rai will join the star cast, though this has not been officially confirmed.
Much like RRR, this Telugu movie will feature high-octane action sequences expected to captivate audiences. The film is reportedly being made on a massive budget, with Rs 140 crore allocated for its VFX alone. Additionally, it’s rumored that 33% of the movie’s budget is being spent on special effects.
Devara marks Jr NTR’s 30th film. He is expected to portray both father and son in the movie. Earlier this year, Jr NTR shared the first poster of the film, depicting him standing on a boat in the middle of the sea with an intense expression, dressed in a shirt and black pants.
On Thursday, trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced on social media that Devara will hit theaters on September 27, 2024, a change from its earlier release date of October 10, 2024.
