Bomb Threat at Delhi and Noida Schools: Multiple Institutions Evacuated
A series of bomb threats has triggered evacuation and search operations at several schools in Delhi and Noida. This morning, schools received threatening emails claiming explosives were on campus, leading to an immediate response from police and bomb squad teams. Delhi Police officials arrived at the schools, searching the premises thoroughly, but no suspicious items have been found yet.
The first schools to report threats were Sanskriti School in Chanakyapuri, Mother Mary School in Mayur Vihar, and Delhi Public School in Dwarka. As the day progressed, nearly 50 other schools received similar emails. In response, bomb detection teams, bomb disposal squads, and Delhi Fire Service officials were dispatched to ensure safety.
One of the schools, Mother Mary School, had to halt an ongoing exam as the search operations began. The administration quickly declared an emergency and instructed everyone to leave the premises immediately. Similarly, Delhi Public School sent an email to parents stating, “This is to inform you that the school has received an email that threatens the safety and security of the students. As a precautionary measure, we are sending the students back home immediately.”

Parents rushed to the schools to collect their children, with visuals showing crowded scenes at the school gates. Despite the chaos, authorities have reassured parents and the public that safety is their top priority. Delhi Police released a statement urging people not to panic, emphasizing that nothing suspicious had been found at any of the schools.
Delhi’s education minister, Atishi, also confirmed the developments, stating, “Some schools have received bomb threats this morning. Students have been evacuated, and the premises are being searched by Delhi Police. So far, nothing has been found in any of the schools. We are in constant touch with the police and the schools. Would request parents and citizens not to panic. School authorities will be in touch with parents wherever needed.”
The cybercrime unit is investigating the source of the threatening emails, aiming to track the IP address and identify those responsible. Police believe the threats might be an attempt to cause panic and mischief, with earlier incidents proving to be hoaxes. In February, a bomb threat at Delhi Police School in RK Puram turned out to be a false alarm.
Authorities continue to search the schools and monitor the situation, ensuring student safety while attempting to trace the origin of the threats.
