Chiranjeevi has often expressed his utmost respect for Telugu cinema’s celebrated icon, Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. On NTR’s 101st birth anniversary, the Megastar paid a fitting tribute.
Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, widely known as NTR, remains an icon in Andhra Pradesh through his illustrious film and political career. His enduring legacy has garnered a devoted fan following, including Megastar Chiranjeevi, who has shared many cherished moments with NTR.
On this special occasion, Chiranjeevi penned an emotional note and shared a heartfelt tribute to the cinema legend. He posted a picture on X (formerly Twitter) from the sets of one of his films, remembering NTR with the words, “The fame of some is immortal. NTR is an example for future generations.”

Reflecting on NTR’s contributions, Chiranjeevi continued, “Remembering Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao today, I think the Bharat Ratna award is a fitting tribute to his services in public life. I hope that the Central Government grants this long-standing wish of the Telugu people.”
Despite coming from different film families, the camaraderie between actors in the Telugu film industry has remained strong. NTR was a towering figure in Telugu cinema when Chiranjeevi was rising to fame, and they shared several fond moments.
On NTR’s birth anniversary, his grandson, Jr. NTR, visited NTR Ghat to pay his respects, accompanied by his brother Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. The Devara actor appeared emotional during the tribute.
NTR was not only a leading actor with over 300 films but also the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, where he left a significant mark.
