Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga Criticizes Adil Hussain for Labelling ‘Kabir Singh’ as ‘Misogynistic’
Renowned director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, celebrated for his blockbuster film ‘Animal’ starring Ranbir Kapoor. Has demonstrated his aversion to criticism, particularly in response to actor Adil Hussain’s comments regarding the 2019 movie ‘Kabir Singh,’ featuring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.
Adil Hussain expressed his regret for his involvement in ‘Kabir Singh’ during an interview with the YouTube channel AP Podcast. He admitted to accepting the role without reading the script, citing it as the only film he regrets being associated with.

“That’s the only film in my life that I did without reading the script, without watching the Telugu movie it was based on. I went to see ‘Kabir Singh’ in Delhi and after 20 minutes, I just walked out. The only film that I have regretted doing to date is ‘Kabir Singh’. Because I think it is misogynistic and makes me feel small as a human being,” Adil remarked.
In response, Vanga took to his X platform on Thursday and shared a clip from Adil’s interview, expressing his intention to digitally replace Adil’s face in the film using artificial intelligence.
“Your ‘belief’ in 30 art films didn’t garner as much attention as your ‘regret’ over 1 BLOCKBUSTER film did. I regret casting you, knowing that your greed surpasses your passion. Now I’ll spare you from disgrace by replacing your face with AI assistance. Now, smile properly,” Vanga posted.
