Dulquer and Rana Team Up for a 1950s Period Drama!
Exciting collaborations are happening lately, and the latest one brings together Tollywood star Rana Daggubati and Malayalam heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan for an intriguing new project. While this isn’t a multi-starrer, Dulquer will take the lead, and Rana will co-produce the film alongside the Mahanati actor.
Adding to the excitement, Bhagyashri Borse, known for her role in Mr. Bachchan, has been cast as the female lead. National Award-winning actor Samuthirakani is also part of the cast, playing a significant role.

The film, titled Kaantha, recently had its pooja ceremony at Ramanaidu Studios, with Victory Venkatesh and Suresh Babu in attendance. The team looked stunning in traditional attire at the event. Directed by Selvamani Salvaraj, Kaantha will be released in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
Produced by Spirit Media and Wayfarer Films, the technical team includes Jhanu for music and Dani Sanchez Lopez as the cinematographer. Set against the backdrop of 1950s Madras, the film will explore human relationships and societal changes during that period of historical shifts. With such an impressive cast and intriguing premise, it will be interesting to see how this project unfolds.
