Hanuman Jayanti Procession in Hyderabad: Bajrang Dal, VHP Organize
The Bajrang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) organized a vibrant Hanuman Jayanti procession in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Drawing a large crowd of participants despite tight security measures. The Sri Hanuman Jayanthi Shoba Yatra began at Sri Ram Mandir in Gowliguda. With a large number of attendees—primarily youths—joining the procession on their motorcycles while chanting “Jai Sriram… Jai Sriram…”. The event is set to conclude at the renowned Sri Tadbund Hanuman Temple in Secunderabad later in the evening.
Participants donned saffron attire and carried flags featuring Lord Hanuman, infusing the procession with energy and enthusiasm despite the sweltering heat. The yatra saw a significant presence of women on motorcycles, further showcasing the inclusive nature of the event. Along the route, several voluntary organizations offered free buttermilk, drinking water sachets, and ‘prasadam’ to those joining the yatra, while special watermelon juice was also provided to keep everyone refreshed.

Union Tourism Minister and Telangana BJP State President G Kishan Reddy, along with former MLA Etala Rajender and other political leaders. Attended the morning prayers at Sri Ram Mandir in Gowliguda, lending their support to the event.
To ensure safety and order, the city police implemented extensive security arrangements along the 13-kilometer route from Gowliguda to Tadbund Temple. Traffic diversions were announced at 44 intersections to facilitate the procession’s smooth flow. Approximately 12,000 police personnel were deployed to maintain order. With surveillance cameras set up at the Integrated Command and Control Centre in Banjara Hills to monitor the event.
Beyond the procession, Hanuman Temples across Hyderabad, including Tadbund, Karmanghat, Malkajgiri, Uppal, Dilsukhnagar, and Gowliguda. Were adorned to celebrate Sri Hanuman Jayanthi. Devotees flocked to these temples, offering special prayers and participating in various festivities to mark the occasion.
