Harbhajan Singh Blasts Ex-Pakistan Star: Saved Your Mothers
Former Pakistan cricket star Kamran Akmal has faced significant backlash for making an offensive remark about Indian fast bowler Arshdeep Singh. During the T20 World Cup 2024 match between India and Pakistan on Sunday, Akmal, who was part of the ARY News cricket panel, commented on Arshdeep’s religion while discussing the game.
With 18 runs needed to win, Arshdeep was tasked with bowling the final over and successfully led India to a six-run victory. However, Akmal stirred controversy by saying, “Kuch bhi ho sakta hai… 12 baj gaye hai (Anything can happen. It is already 12),” followed by, “Kisi Sikh ko nahi dena chahiye 12 baje over (No Sikh should be given the over at 12 midnight),” which drew laughter from another panelist.

Social media users heavily criticized Akmal for his ‘racist’ remark. Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh also condemned Akmal’s comment. Posting a powerful message on social media.”Lakh di laanat tere Kamraan Akmal.. You should know the history of Sikhs before you open your filthy mouth. We Sikhs saved your mothers and sisters when they were abducted by invaders, the time invariably was 12 o’clock. Shame on you…Have some gratitude,” Harbhajan wrote.
As for the match, India triumphed over Pakistan thanks to a stellar performance. From Rishabh Pant and disciplined bowling from their fast bowlers, securing a thrilling victory.
