Harish Shankar to Team up with Mega Brothers in a Multi-Starrer?
In a recent interview, director Harish Shankar expressed his desire to create a film featuring the Mega family actors. He is set to direct Pawan Kalyan in an upcoming project.
Discussing the potential for event films in Telugu cinema, Harish Shankar revealed that he has a story written for Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and Ram Charan. In an interview with Great Andhra, he mentioned that he has been developing this story for years.
When asked about his plans for future event films after the release of “Mr Bachchan,” starring Ravi Teja, on August 15, Harish explained, “No one starts writing to create a massive film. It evolves based on the characterization and backdrop. I can’t sit down thinking, ‘Let me write a pan-India film.’

He provided an example of a love story set on the India-Pakistan border, suggesting that it could become an event film if expanded upon. He added, “I also have a story for Kalyan garu (Pawan Kalyan), Charan (Ram Charan), and Chiranjeevi garu. I’ve been working on a concept for them for years now. When we make it, it’ll automatically be the biggest pan-India film.”
While his project with Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, and Pawan Kalyan is still in the planning stages, Harish Shankar is currently working on a film with Pawan Kalyan titled “Ustaad Bhagat Singh.” A portion of the film has been shot, with the remaining parts to be completed once the actor-politician is available. In the interview, Harish described the film as a ‘memorable’ addition to Pawan Kalyan’s filmography.
“Ustaad Bhagat Singh” also stars Sreeleela, Ashutosh Rana, Nawab Shah, B. S. Avinash, Gautami, and Chammak Chandra. It is a remake of the Tamil film “Theri.” Initially titled “Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh,” the film was announced in 2021, with filming beginning in 2023 after a pooja ceremony in 2022.
