The upcoming web series “Inspector Rishi,” featuring Naveen Chandra in the lead role, has generated significant interest. Supporting roles are filled by Sunaina, Kanna Ravi, Srikrishna Dayal, Malini Jeevaratnam, and Kumar Vale. Directed by Nandini J.S. and produced by Sukh Dev Lahiri under Make Believe Productions, this horror crime story is set to premiere on Amazon Originals. The web series will be available for streaming from the 29th of this month in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi. The announcement was made during a press meet held in Hyderabad today.
Actor Krishna Dayal shared his experience working on “Inspector Rishi,” where he portrays a forest ranger named Satya. He expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “This is an interesting web series. You will definitely like it. It’s coming to Amazon Prime Video in the next two days.”
Kanna Ravi, who plays the role of Inspector Ayyanar in the series, praised the director Nandini’s vision and the unique narrative of the ten-episode series. “Most of the shooting was done in the forest, and each character has a well-defined arc. Naveen Chandra’s portrayal of Inspector Rishi and Sunaina garu’s role as a forest officer are impressive. Don’t miss ‘Inspector Rishi,'” he said.

Director Nandini J.S. spoke about the broad appreciation of diverse content by the Telugu audience and the global reach of Telugu cinema post-Baahubali and RRR. “Initially, we thought of making ‘Inspector Rishi’ only in Tamil. However, after completing it, we decided to release it in all five languages,” she explained. Nandini, who has a long-standing interest in horror movies and books, crafted the series to cater to horror enthusiasts without offending any caste, religion, or belief. “The story of this series is meticulously designed to ensure wide appeal. Following the trailer’s release, we received a tremendous response and positive feedback. We hope for a good reception in Telugu as well. Please watch the series and recommend it to your friends. Heroine Sunaina said, “I heard the script of the web series ‘Inspector Rishi’ while making the film ‘Raja Raja Chora’ during the pandemic. As soon as I heard it, I was determined to be part of this series. I got a significant role in this story. I portray a forest ranger. This web series has desirable elements for all audience sections, combining horror, thriller, romance, action, and comedy. It was a pleasure to work with Naveen Chandra. He is a talented artist, engaging in diverse projects. Director Nandini gave us a lot of freedom during the shoot.

When I heard the story of the ‘Inspector Rishi’ web series, I felt that it contained all the emotions like horror, thriller, suspense, action and I wondered why not do this series. Do you feel lucky to get such a character? Not only in this story, but my character also has many layers. This will be a special series in the horror thriller genre. I worked for about 100 days on this series. After coming home from shooting every day, it felt like the ghost in this series appeared in the bedroom, because I had a lot of combination scenes with the devil.
