Jr NTR and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently shared a playful exchange during the promotions of the highly anticipated film Devara Part 1. As the film nears its release, the two engaged in lighthearted banter that had everyone in stitches.
During a conversation with the Devara team—Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and director Koratala Siva—Vanga, who directed Animal, asked about the runtime of Devara. Koratala Siva humorously pointed out the irony, given that Vanga’s own movie, Animal, is known for its lengthy runtime. Jr NTR jumped in with a witty remark, teasing Vanga by asking, “What’s the runtime of Animal, sir? 3:15?”
Vanga, laughing, admitted that Animal runs even longer, clocking in at 3 hours and 24 minutes. Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor couldn’t help but laugh at the playful interaction between the RRR star and the director.

The discussion then shifted to the concept behind Devara. Koratala Siva explained that it’s his most ambitious project to date. Not because of its scale, but due to the underlying theme. He shared that the film explores the idea of fear in a way that’s rarely seen in commercial cinema. Unlike typical films where a hero embodies courage, Siva wanted the protagonist to represent fear. He remarked, “Men in this world don’t understand reason; they only understand fear.”
With this concept in mind, the director promised epic visuals that would evoke comparisons to films like 300 or Lord of the Rings.
Devara Part 1, featuring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, is set to release on September 27.
