The creators of Kalki 2898 AD are sparing no effort. Even before its theatrical release, they are aiming for a significant deal for the film’s OTT rights.
According to reports, the top OTT platforms Amazon Prime and Netflix have approached the film’s producers to acquire the digital rights of the movie. The producers are reportedly asking for a significant sum of Rs. 200 crores for the OTT rights. However, the platforms are offering between 150 and 170 crores. The producers are firm on their demand for at least Rs. 200 crores.
The demand for this movie may not be entirely unreasonable, considering the powerful star cast which includes not only Prabhas but also legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan. Although an official confirmation is yet to be made, this news has gone viral.
