Nag Ashwin Recalls Convincing SS Rajamouli for a Cameo in Kalki 2898 AD

Ashwin also lauded Amitabh Bachchan for his outstanding portrayal of Ashwatthama in Kalki 2898 AD. He revealed that casting Bachchan was a long-cherished dream and that the legendary actor proved to be the perfect choice for such a pivotal role.

The director shared his excitement about the fight scenes between Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan, calling them a “dream” to execute. “His fight scenes with Prabhas, who is considered one of the biggest action heroes in contemporary cinema. Were a dream for us to pull off,” Ashwin said, describing the experience as thrilling for the entire cast and crew.

Nag Ashwin hinted at the possibility of a sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. He revealed that the film was conceptualized as a two-parter and shared updates on the progress of the sequel’s shooting. “It’s not 60%, I would say. We shot about 25-30 days of the second part, but there’s a lot left to do.” He said, suggesting that fans can look forward to more from the Kalki universe.
