Nagarjuna Calls Kuberaa a Fresh and Unique Film
The pre-release event for Kuberaa, one of Indian cinema’s most awaited films. Turned into a grand celebration as fans from various regions gathered to catch a glimpse of their favorite stars. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, Kuberaa features an exciting cast including Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is being simultaneously shot in Telugu and Tamil and will be released in multiple languages across India.
The event was graced by acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli, who joined as a special guest. He shared that he attended the function upon Sekhar Kammula’s invitation. Acknowledging the director’s 25-year journey in the Telugu film industry. Rajamouli praised the cast and expressed his eagerness to watch the film on the big screen.
Sekhar Kammula took a moment to thank his entire team for their dedication over two years. He admitted to being nervous about working with stars but said that Nagarjuna made the experience smooth by being supportive and accommodating. He revealed that Nagarjuna made several changes to his usual working style and gave a stellar performance.

The director also lauded Dhanush for his commitment, mentioning how the actor lost weight and immersed himself so deeply in the role that Nagarjuna couldn’t recognize him at first. Kammula said directing Dhanush’s first shot was the best moment of his career and promised audiences an engaging cinematic journey.
Dhanush, in turn, expressed gratitude to Sekhar Kammula for bringing him a truly different script. He reflected on the challenges the team faced shooting in multiple locations and praised the entire crew for their hard work. He also thanked producers Suniel Narang and Pushkar Rammohan Rao for their generous support and acknowledged production designer Thota Tharani and music director Devi Sri Prasad for their exceptional contributions.
Nagarjuna stated that his decision to join Kuberaa was solely because of his admiration for Sekhar Kammula. He highlighted the film’s emotional depth, particularly its commentary on economic inequality, and described it as a classic Sekhar Kammula creation. Confident in the film’s message and execution, he urged audiences to watch it in theatres starting June 20, adding that Sekhar Kammula’s pride and happiness about the film was evident and reassuring.
