Nani’s Hits Dominate SIIMA and Filmfare Nominations!
Natural star Nani had a stellar 2023, with his films ‘Dasara’ and ‘Hi Nanna.’ Dominating the nominations for both SIIMA and Filmfare awards. ‘Hi Nanna’ has been nominated for 10 SIIMA awards and 9 Filmfare awards. While ‘Dasara’ received 11 SIIMA nominations and 8 Filmfare nominations.
In ‘Dasara,’ an intense action drama made on a high budget. Nani’s portrayal of a raw character left audiences in awe, making it one of the biggest successes of 2024. Nani’s versatility shone through in ‘Hi Nanna,’ where his subtle portrayal of emotions led to a good commercial success. And selections in a couple of international film festivals.

Both films were directed by debutants—Srikanth Odela for ‘Dasara’ and Shouryuv for ‘Hi Nanna’—and both directors received best director nominations. Keerthy Suresh, who played the heroine in ‘Dasara,’ and Mrunal Thakur, the leading lady in ‘Hi Nanna,’ also received nominations for their performances.

Currently, Nani is working on ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram,’ set to release on August 29th, under the direction of Vivek Athreya.
