NTR Addresses Devara Event Cancellation: ‘My Pain is Greater Than Yours
The highly anticipated pre-release event for Devara was scheduled to take place today in Hyderabad, with the cast and crew in attendance, surrounded by eager fans. However, due to overcrowding and security concerns, the event was canceled. Sharing his disappointment, NTR addressed his fans through a video message.
“I’m truly heartbroken that today’s Devara event couldn’t happen, especially since I was so excited to spend time with you all and talk about the film. I wanted to share the hard work we’ve put into Devara, but safety concerns prevented the event from going ahead. I know you’re disappointed, but believe me, my pain is even greater than yours,” NTR said.
Fans, upset by the cancellation, expressed frustration with Shreyas Media, the event organizers, and the film’s producers. However, NTR stood in their defense, stating, “It’s unfair to blame the producers or organizers for the event being called off.”
Despite the setback, NTR reassured his fans that although he couldn’t meet them at the event, he would connect with them through theaters on Friday, September 27. He praised director Koratala Siva for creating an exceptional film and urged the audience to support it. He also expressed his immense gratitude to his fans, saying he owes his life to them, and wished for everyone who attended to return home safely.
Devara is set to release its first part on October 27.

Additionally, Team Devara issued an official statement explaining the cancellation. The statement read:
“We had been eagerly awaiting this day, having worked tirelessly on the film for years, and were excited to celebrate with fans, especially since this marks NTR’s first solo release in six years. However, we faced several challenges.
The event was scheduled close to Ganesh Nimarjanam, and large-scale events like this typically need at least a week of preparation. Recent heavy rains also complicated the situation. Although it didn’t rain today, the conditions weren’t favorable for an outdoor event. The massive turnout of fans overwhelmed the venue, and barricades were broken. For the safety of everyone present, we made the difficult decision to cancel the event.
We know many of you traveled from across the country to be here and see your hero. Hope everyone is safe and has returned home without harm. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and are deeply sorry for the situation.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
