Today, Pawan Kalyan assumed the duties of the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He marked this milestone by signing his first official document, confirming his appointment. Entering his chamber in the state secretariat, he signed the document that validated his new role. The signboard reading “Sri. Pawan Kalyan, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister” now hangs outside his chamber, an image that is trending across social media platforms.
In addition to his responsibilities as Deputy Chief Minister, Pawan Kalyan has been entrusted with other significant portfolios, including the Forest Department and Panchayat Raj. This marks the beginning of a new phase in his political journey.

He first entered the political arena in 2008, playing a significant role in the formation of the Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) founded by his elder brother, Chiranjeevi. Despite its initial promise, the party merged with the Indian National Congress in 2011.
Undeterred, Pawan Kalyan founded his own political party, the Jana Sena Party (JSP), in March 2014. The party, which translates to “People’s Army,” reflects his dedication to fighting for the rights and welfare of the people. Though the JSP did not win a significant number of seats in the 2014 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections. Kalyan’s passionate campaigning and his ability to connect with the masses earned him widespread respect and recognition.
