Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has made headlines. As his Jana Sena Party won all 21 Assembly seats it contested in Andhra Pradesh. Alongside his political triumph, Pawan is eagerly anticipating his highly awaited film “OG.”
Recently, social media buzzed with news that Netflix acquired the digital rights for “OG” for an impressive Rs 92 crore. While the film is expected to hit theaters on September 27. Reports suggest that Netflix has scheduled its release for 2025. If true, Pawan’s fans might have to wait longer to see the film.

Previously, reports indicated that a leading digital platform had purchased the rights for Rs 65 crore. Though the platform’s name wasn’t revealed. Renowned producer DVV Danayya is investing over Rs 200 crore in “OG” and aims to recoup his investment through strategic deals. “OG” is reportedly the most expensive film in Pawan Kalyan’s career. And he plans to prioritize this gangster film post-election to avoid further production cost increases and interest on borrowed funds. Consequently, he will dedicate three weeks to the project starting in June.
“OG” began filming in April 2023, featuring Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead. Set against the backdrop of the Mumbai Mafia, the film stars Emraan Hashmi as the main villain, marking his Telugu debut. On Emraan Hashmi’s birthday, March 24, the makers released his first look, showing him in a stylish avatar lighting a cigar.
