What sets The Script Craft apart from conventional film festivals is its inclusive and creator-friendly format. The festival accepts short films of two minutes or longer, across all genres, giving participants complete creative freedom. Instead of closed-door jury decisions, the films will be evaluated over a 90-day period through active audience participation. Votes, likes, and ratings will play a crucial role in determining the top three winners, ensuring that viewer engagement becomes a key part of the process. Additionally, all participating filmmakers stand to gain visibility, as several production houses are already keeping a close watch on the platform to discover promising new talent.
Taking the initiative a step further, Quick TV has come on board as a strategic partner with a focus on emerging directors. As part of this collaboration, fifteen selected filmmakers will receive end-to-end support to develop a full-length 90-minute script. This includes production backing and an international premiere on Quick TV, offering creators a rare opportunity to transition from short films to feature-length projects.
Founded by Thaalla Vaishnav and Pramod Uppalapati, The Script Craft International Short Film Festival has officially opened registrations, with more details and announcements expected in the coming days.
