Prime Minister Narendra Modi Criticizes Congress for Impeding Ram Temple Construction
Prime Minister Narendra Modi strongly criticized the Congress during his recent addresses in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, accusing them of obstructing the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and disrespecting Lord Rama. He expressed dismay over the Congress’ refusal to attend the “pran pratishtha” ceremony in January, despite being invited, and highlighted how the Congress ousted leaders who did attend.
In his rallies, Modi condemned the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty for what he perceived as leading the country towards regression. He emphasized this point while addressing crowds in Pilibhit and Balaghat, criticizing the Congress for what he termed as their detrimental influence on the nation’s progress.

Modi also aimed the Congress’ manifesto, suggesting it reflected more the interests of the Muslim League rather than those of the Congress itself. He accused the Congress and SP of opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) due to what he described as appeasement politics.
The Prime Minister further lamented Congress’ resistance to acknowledging tribal contributions to India’s freedom struggle, particularly highlighting their opposition to Draupadi Murmu’s candidacy for President.
In a roadshow held later in Chennai, Modi, accompanied by party leaders, interacted with supporters, symbolizing BJP’s commitment through the display of the lotus, their party emblem.
Overall, Modi’s speeches underscored his criticisms of the Congress party’s actions and policies, framing them as detrimental to national interests and heritage.
