Pushpa 2 & Game Changer Disrupt Other Film Schedules?
The December 2024 box office is gearing up for intense competition, particularly for actors Nithin and Naga Chaitanya. Initially, both were set to release their films—Nithiin’s “Robinhood” and Naga Chaitanya’s “Thandel”—on December 20, 2024. However, this plan is now under threat.
The announcement of Ram Charan’s highly anticipated film, “Game Changer,” slated for Christmas 2024, alongside Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2,” set to release on December 6th without any changes, has forced the makers of Nithin and Chaitanya’s films to reconsider their release strategies.
Reports indicate that Allu Arvind, the producer of “Thandel,” has already decided to shift the film’s release to early 2025. This strategic move aims to avoid a direct clash with “Game Changer” and maximize “Thandel’s” box office potential.
Pushpa 2 & Game Changer Disrupt Other Film Schedules?
Meanwhile, Nithiin’s “Robinhood” will now premiere in February 2025, according to reports from Mythri Movie Makers. This shift provides more time for promotional activities and a clearer release window. However, if “Pushpa 2” performs well from its December 6th release, finding the right screens for “Robinhood” could be challenging.
If “Game Changer” fails to release as scheduled, the decision to shift the release dates of “Robinhood” and “Thandel” could backfire. This uncertainty is causing concern among the producers and distributors. Last year, changes in release dates for “Salaar” and “Animal” significantly impacted Tollywood’s December releases.
