Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has addressed a recent troll who criticized her for sharing details about her treatments and therapies. This morning, Samantha took to social media to share a detailed note after a troll. Purportedly a doctor, attacked her for discussing her alternative therapies.
The controversy began when Samantha posted a picture of herself undergoing hydrogen peroxide nebulization to treat viral infections. In response, a netizen, who goes by the name “The Liver Doc” on X. Criticized her for spreading what he deemed to be healthcare misinformation.
Samantha shared a befitting reply to the troll, writing. “A certain gentleman has attacked my post and my intentions with rather strong words. Said gentleman is a doctor too. I have no doubt that he knows more than I do. It would have been kind and compassionate of him had he not been so provocative with his words.”
She further expressed her displeasure at the troll’s suggestion that she should be “thrown in prison.” Samantha emphasized her commitment to being careful about sharing information on treatments that have benefited her. She clarified, “This treatment was suggested to me by a highly qualified doctor who is an MD and has served DRDO for 25 years. After all his education in conventional medicine, he chose to advocate an alternate therapy.”

The doctor, known as “The Liver Doc,” continued to criticize Samantha even after her clarification. He posted, “Please note, she is a serial offender in the context of healthcare misinformation and she has been in the line of fire previously too. The reason why doctors like me have to spend (waste) time from our busy schedules to fight misinformation online is because it is peddled by large influential ‘celebrity’ accounts that have no regard for public health.”
The exchange highlights the ongoing tension between public figures sharing personal health practices and the medical community’s efforts to combat misinformation.
