Hansal Mehta announced the third segment of its super hit franchise ‘Scam’ on Thursday.
he said that this would be based on Subrata Roy and would be titled the show as Scam 2010. The Sahara group founder, Subrata Roy managed to expand his business from finance, real estate, media, and also to hospitality.
The filmmaker announced this project on a social media post, “Sc3m is back! Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga, coming soon on @sonylivindia #Scam2010OnSonyLIV #Scam2010.”
The Supreme Court of India, in 2014 ordered Subrata Roy’s detention after failing to appear in court which was in connection with a dispute with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Resulting in a long legal battle. And resulted in him spending time in Tihar Jail. Although he was released on parole.

The founder of Sahara group, Subrata Roy passed away at the age of 74, in November 2023.
