Director SS Rajamouli has officially started location scouting in Africa for his upcoming adventure film, SSMB29, starring Mahesh Babu. He shared his journey on social media, revealing that he is currently in Kenya, exploring sites with his son, Karthikeya, to finalize ideal shooting spots for the global adventure project.
Rajamouli posted a photo from Amboseli National Park, captioned, “Trotting to discover…,” where he is seen walking through the park with wildlife in the background. Fans quickly flooded the comments with excitement, with one user writing, “Sir, what kind of plans are you making! Your imagination is on another level!” while another commented, “Men on the way to shake the world box office.”

Karthikeya also shared a video on Instagram, capturing moments from their safari adventure, as the duo enjoyed the sights while scouting for filming locations.
Reports indicate that the script, penned by SS Rajamouli’s father, Vijayendra Prasad, is nearly complete, with pre-production wrapping up. Filming for SSMB29 is expected to start in January 2025, initially in Hyderabad, where specially designed sets will be constructed. The film will feature a mix of real locations and VFX-enhanced scenes, with further details still under wraps.
