Suriya’s Kanguva makers unveil new poster
Ahead of the much-anticipated release of Suriya’s fantasy thriller Kanguva, the makers have officially announced the trailer launch date, showcasing the actor’s impressive and transformative look.
Suriya is set to make a powerful return to the big screen with Kanguva, which is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 10, 2024. The actor has been building excitement by sharing sneak peeks of the project, and now, the makers have confirmed the trailer release date.
Studio Green, the producers of Kanguva, took to X to unveil a striking poster featuring Suriya in an unrecognizable, period-style costume with a dramatic wing-like structure in the background. Alongside the poster, they revealed that the trailer would drop on August 12, 2024. The accompanying caption read, “The anticipation ends now! The time for glory is arriving, get ready for a celebration like no other. The grand #KanguvaTrailer is all set to be yours from 12th August.”

Since its announcement, Kanguva has generated significant buzz, thanks to its intriguing storyline and stellar cast. The film features Bollywood actors Bobby Deol and Disha Patani. Along with notable stars like Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, and others. Notably, Suriya will portray seven different roles in the film.
In addition to Kanguva, Suriya is eagerly awaiting the release of another project, tentatively titled Suriya 44, directed by Karthik Subbaraj and aiming for a September 2025 release.
Recently, Suriya 44‘s producer, Rajasekhar, updated fans on a minor accident Suriya experienced while filming. The incident occurred during an action sequence, where the actor sustained a minor head injury. He received immediate medical attention and has since fully recovered, reassuring fans that he is safe and well.
