Nikhil Siddhartha’s ambitious period war drama Swayambhu is once again making headlines. As the makers have officially locked the film’s release date. Following the massive nationwide success of Karthikeya 2, audiences have been eager to see what Nikhil will take on next. And Swayambhu has been one of the most anticipated projects in his lineup.
The film marks the directorial debut of Bharat Krishnamachari and is gearing up for a huge worldwide release on February 13, 2026. The scale of the project is evident from the fact that it will hit theatres in eight languages. Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Chinese, Spanish, and Arabic—aiming to reach a global audience.
With the shooting phase officially completed, the team released a special video titled Rise of Swayambhu alongside the date announcement. The glimpse showcases the film’s grand vision, large-scale sets, and intense war sequences, hinting at a powerful cinematic experience. Full-fledged promotions are expected to roll out shortly.

The film features Samyuktha and Nabha Natesh as the leading ladies, adding glamour and emotional depth to the historical narrative. On the production front, Swayambhu is being mounted on an impressive budget by Bhuvan and Sreekar of Pixel Studios, with Tagore Madhu presenting the film.
The technical crew includes some of the industry’s finest talents. Renowned cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar is cranking the camera, ensuring striking visuals that match the film’s epic tone. The soundtrack and background score are composed by Ravi Basrur, known for his high-energy musical style. Production design is handled by M Prabhaharan and Raveendra, who are working to create an authentic and visually rich world.
With the release date set and promotions gearing up, Swayambhu is shaping up to be one of the biggest theatrical events of 2026.
