Thammudu re-release to hit theaters on this date!

The Pawan Kalyan starrer “Thammudu” is set to return to the big screen, celebrating 25 years since its original release. Here are the details!

Making a comeback after 25 years, “Thammudu,” the sports action film written and directed by PA Arun Prasad, will be re-released in theaters on June 15, 2024. This cult favorite from 1999 is sure to be a treat for fans of Power Star Pawan Kalyan. The film also features Preeti Jhangiani and Aditi Gowitrikar in leading roles.

“Thammudu” follows the story of Subhash, a spoiled college student whose life revolves around hanging out with friends and chasing girls. In contrast, his brother, a kickboxer and the family’s pride, suffers a career-ending injury at the hands of a rival. Determined to avenge his brother and change his ways. Subhash trains to compete in the kickboxing tournament in his brother’s place. The film centers on his journey to victory and his blossoming romance with a supportive neighbor.

Originally based on the Aamir Khan movie “Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander,” which was inspired by the American film “Breaking Away,” “Thammudu” was also remade into Tamil and Kannada as “Badri” and “Yuvaraja,” starring Thalapathy Vijay and Shiva Rajkumar, respectively.
