Tillu Square is a simple yet commercial film, says director Mallikram
Sithara Entertainment always prioritizes good content over budget. Star Boy Siddhu Jonnalagadda’s new movie, “Tillu Square,” is set to release on March 29th, 2024, worldwide. The film features Siddhu Jonnalagadda in the lead role of the iconic character Tillu and has been directed by Mallik Ram.
Siddhu also wrote the screenplay and dialogue for the film, which was produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Sithara Entertainments. “Tillu Square” is presented by Srikara Studios.
Meanwhile, director Mallikarjun Ram, aka Mallik Ram, interacted with the media yesterday.
“I’m excited about my first theatrical movie. After the success of Pelligola web series and Adbhutham, Siddhu and I planned to collaborate on a film together three years ago but it didn’t work out. Recently, we developed the story for Tillu Square, which started as a fun project but became one of the biggest projects in both of our careers.”
We spent almost 600 days creating Tillu Square, the sequel to the cult-hit DJ Tillu. It was a unique and challenging task to recreate the magic of the original. We’ve packed Tillu Square with more action and drama, and some characters from the first part appear in the second season. The story ends here, but it’s also open-ended. We have plans for Part 3, but we’re waiting for the release of Tillu Square to decide. If you watch it in theaters, you’ll see the effort we put into it.
Tillu Square is a simple yet commercial film, says director Mallikram
Tillu Square, the upcoming film, features Radhika’s character and explores her emotions. It follows Tillu as he faces a new challenge and tries to solve it while dealing with past mistakes. The genre has changed from black comedy to a bold, universal, and commercial film. The conversations between characters will be on edge, and Neha from DJ Tillu will make a cameo appearance.
We filmed a track for the first 30 minutes after the interval, but it didn’t turn out well. So, we wrote a new script, shot again, and decided not to release the first version. The new version is an entertaining film suitable for the market and audiences to watch in theaters.
We chose Anupama for the role of Lilly in our movie because she is an incredibly talented actress. We auditioned many people, including Medona Sebastian and Meenakshi Chowdhary, but Anupama was the right fit. Although rumors suggest that I saw her in a previous movie and cast her, this is not true. I had seen her in her previous movies with Ram and others, and I was impressed by the way she looked and acted. She is a quick learner and extremely talented.
For Adbhutham, I got the story from Prashant Verma, and Siddhu contributed to its writing
For Adbhutham, I got the story from Prashant Verma, and Siddhu contributed to its writing. We all collaborated and received credit for our work. There was no influence on set. Siddhu and I discussed scenes and created the best ones for the film, which is character-driven. We were not insecure about the credits others received.
We chose the same team as the first part for our film. Thaman was our first choice for the background score, but we worked with another music director for the song “Oh My Lilly” due to a small change. Bheems did three reels, and it was excellent.
Sithara Entertainments values quality over budget and always reminds us to focus on the story. They are a versatile production house that can produce all kinds of films.
