Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and popular actor. Cleaned the steps of the Kanakadurga Temple in Vijayawada on Tuesday as part of his ‘Prayaschitta Deeksha.’ This act of penance follows the ongoing controversy surrounding the alleged adulteration of the sacred Tirupati Laddu offering.

Speaking to the media after the cleaning, Pawan Kalyan expressed his frustration at being mocked when he previously pointed out issues occurring in temples under the YSRC government. He emphasized that those responsible for any wrongdoing should be held accountable and provide answers, referring specifically to the “Tirupati laddu adulteration row.”

Addressing his critics, the Jana Sena leader stressed the importance of understanding the full context before commenting on sensitive matters. “Whether it is actor Prakash Raj or anyone else. They should know the complete background before making accusations,” Pawan Kalyan stated. He also made it clear that he would not remain silent when people disrespect Sanatana Dharma.

The ‘Prayaschitta Deeksha’ began on Sunday at the Sri Dasavatara Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Namburu, Guntur district. This 11-day penance is Pawan Kalyan’s response to the alleged tampering with the Tirupati Laddu. Which he sees as a serious issue affecting the sanctity of religious practices.
