Days after the grand pre-release event for Kalki 2898 AD in Mumbai, Amitabh Bachchan took to Instagram on Friday morning to share a new photo with his co-stars. In the picture, Big B is all smiles as he poses with Prabhas and Kamal Haasan. Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone is also seen sitting on a chair in the shot, joined by producer Ashwini Dutt’s daughters.
In the caption, Amitabh praised his Kalki 2898 AD team, calling them “great” and wrote, “In .. IN , the company of GREATS !! KALKI !! Simply intoxicating !!!” Check it out here:
The picture quickly garnered reactions from social media users. Actress Lakshmi Manchu commented, “What a beautiful picture, my heart is so full.” Another fan expressed excitement for the film, predicting, “Kalki will break all the records and become the number one movie of the year in 2024. No one can beat this superb blockbuster trio… just goosebumps.”

Kalki 2898 AD is one of the most anticipated films, directed by Nag Ashwin. The trailer, released earlier this month, hints at a futuristic take on the Mahabharata.
Amitabh Bachchan will be playing the role of Ashwatthama in Nag Ashwin’s film. At the pre-release event, Big B shared his initial reaction to being offered the role. “When Nag Ashwin came and explained his idea to me, for a long time after he left, I was thinking, ‘What the hell is Nagi drinking?’” Amitabh said.
“To see something like this, which is absolutely outrageous, with some of the visuals that you have seen being unbelievable. To have somebody conceive a project which is so futuristic and possible… and during the making of the film you realize that no matter what he thought of, he actually brought all the material, all the effects, every kind of vision that he had to the screen, and that’s been really amazing. For me to be just a part of it has been an experience I’ll never forget,” the veteran actor added.
Kalki 2898 AD will hit theaters on June 27, 2024.
