Devara Finally Set for TV Premiere – Full Details Revealed!
These days, films make their way to OTT and television within weeks of release. However, Devara: Part 1 has been a rare exception. Released in September last year, the Jr NTR-starrer has taken almost a year to reach small screens.
Featuring Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead, along with Saif Ali Khan and Srikanth in pivotal roles, Devara: Part 1 enjoyed a successful theatrical run before premiering on Netflix, where it received strong viewership. Yet, despite its digital success, the movie remained absent from television for months.
According to industry sources, the delay was mainly due to satellite rights negotiations and broadcasters waiting for the perfect festive window to attract maximum viewership.

Now, the wait is finally over! Jio Star has officially acquired Devara’s satellite rights across all languages. The movie will soon air on:
- Star Maa (Telugu)
- Star Gold (Hindi)
- Vijay TV (Tamil)
- Star Suvarna (Kannada)
- Asianet (Malayalam)
The Hindi TV premiere is locked for October 26, while other language versions will follow shortly.
Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara is the first part of a grand two-part franchise. The upcoming TV premiere is expected to reignite buzz and expand its reach ahead of Devara: Part 2, which is currently in pre-production. Jr NTR is set to resume the sequel after wrapping up his film Dragon with Prashanth Neel.
