Babylon Bar and Kitchen: Food Safety Inspections Uncover Violations in Jubilee Hills

The inspection teams have taken action against expired items valued at Rs 7,748, issuing notices for the infractions. Recently constituted by the Commissioner of Food Safety, the teams from the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). Task Force conducted thorough inspections on Tuesday at Babylon Bar and Kitchen, Jubilee Hills. They uncovered expired ingredients and bottled Alkaline water lacking proper labeling, BIS certificate, and FSSAI license.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Commissioner of Food Safety disclosed that stocks totaling Rs 42,660. Premium Alkaline Water and British English Sponge Finger packs worth Rs. 1,797 were confiscated during the inspections at location. Moreover, expired items worth Rs 7,748 were disposed of, and notices were issued for the breaches.

Additionally, following the discoveries, inspections were carried out at the manufacturing unit of Sri Beverages in Chennapuram, Jawahar Nagar, Medchal district. Deviations and violations under the FSSAI Act were found, prompting the team to collect samples for lab testing and seize stocks valued at Rs 2,58,720.

Notices were also served to the establishment for lacking necessary permissions, with instructions not to engage in any commercial activities until proper permissions are obtained.
