In a recent candid interview, Upasana shared a personal story as she said that was a deeply personal journey of her new motherhood phase. She shares how her husband and actor Ram Charan stood beside her as a rock.
While expressing her guilt and heartbreak when she has to travel without her daughter Kaara, she said, “It’s heart-wrenching to leave Kaara back home. We often find ourselves crying more than she does.”
She also opens up about the postpartum struggles and depression that she has gone through. And praised Ram Charan for being her pillar of strength during these tough times. “My husband is my therapist,” she said.

“He moved to my parent’s house to provide assistance and comfort” she added highlighting the supporting husband factor.
“Charan’s involvement in raising Kaara has been instrumental.” Upasana appreciated Ram Charan’s immense support in raising their daughter. Having the amazing impact of his presence in the motherhood journey.
“When he shines, it’s great to be in his shadow, and when I shine, he is secure enough to be mine,” she shared the unique partnership they have. Started their journey in 2012 till their daughter’s arrival in 2023 has been a mutual love, understanding, and commitment to each other, she added.
The couple is an example of how supportive in hard times goes well and at peace.
