The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has recovered approximately Rs 20 crore in cash from premises linked to Sanjiv Lal. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while speaking at a public rally in Odisha’s Nabarangpur, addressed the ED’s raid in Jharkhand. He remarked, “Aaj Jharkhand me noton ke pahad mil rahe hain (big heaps of cash are being found in Jharkhand). Modi is taking action against corruption.”

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also commented on the ED’s actions, accusing key figures in Jharkhand and Bihar politics of looting the country through corruption.
Minister Alamgir Alam has responded to the news, claiming he has no “official information” regarding the ED’s searches. “I have been watching TV, and it says the premises are linked to the official PS (private secretary) provided to me by the government,” he said, distancing himself from any personal involvement.
The ED’s investigation into the money laundering case continues, with a focus on unraveling a network of corruption and unaccounted wealth in Jharkhand’s political circles.
