Kompella Madhavi Latha Hyderabad’s BJP Candidate Reveals Assets Worth ₹ 221 Crore
BJP’s candidate for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, Kompella Madhavi Latha, has disclosed family assets totaling ₹ 221.37 crore, making her one of the wealthiest candidates in Telangana. The declaration was made in an affidavit submitted to the Election Commission while filing her nomination papers.
Madhavi Latha, 49, and her husband Kompella Viswanath, both businesspersons, along with their three dependent children, have significant assets. The family’s movable assets amount to ₹ 165.46 crore, with the couple holding ₹ 55.91 crore in immovable assets. The breakdown of these assets reveals a large portfolio of investments and property holdings.
Madhavi Latha has personal movable assets of ₹ 31.31 crore, with investments of ₹ 25.20 crore in listed and unlisted companies. She has invested ₹ 7.80 crore in Virinchi Ltd and owns gold jewelry valued at ₹ 3.78 crore. Her husband has movable assets worth ₹ 88.31 crore, including shares valued at ₹ 52.36 crore in Virinchi Ltd. Additionally, their three dependent children have total movable assets exceeding ₹ 45 crore.

In terms of immovable assets, the BJP candidate has properties valued at ₹ 6.32 crore, while her husband’s immovable assets are worth ₹ 49.59 crore. These properties include non-agricultural land, commercial, and residential buildings in and around Hyderabad.
The couple also carries liabilities: Madhavi Latha has liabilities of ₹ 90 lakh, and her husband has liabilities totaling ₹ 26.13 crore. Regarding income, Madhavi Latha’s earnings during 2022-23 were ₹ 3.76 lakh, while her income for 2021-22 was ₹ 1.22 crore. Viswanath’s income for 2022-23 was ₹ 2.82 crore, down from ₹ 6.86 crore in 2021-22.
Apart from the financial declaration, the BJP candidate has also disclosed a criminal case against her. The case, registered at the Begum Bazar Police Station under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 295-A, relates to an incident involving an alleged gesture of drawing an imaginary arrow and shooting at a mosque in Siddi Amber Bazar.
