Mahesh Babu’s 2005 action-drama Athadu is all set to return to theatres historically. Though it saw moderate success during its original run. The Trivikram Srinivas-directed film went on to gain cult status, particularly after its television premiere. And is now regarded as one of Mahesh Babu’s finest performances. The film also starred Trisha in a prominent role and featured music by Mani Sharma that became a massive hit.
Now, nearly two decades later, Athadu is set to create a new benchmark in Indian cinema. It will be the first Indian film ever to be re-released in the IMAX format. Offering fans a larger-than-life experience. This re-release will come with major technical upgrades, including a 4K Ultra HD print and enhanced Dolby audio, giving audiences a whole new way to enjoy the classic.
