Megastar ‘s Influence: Telugu Film Chamber Reacts to Gaddar Awards

After Telangana CM Revanth Reddy openly criticized the Telugu film industry’s silence. On the government’s proposal for the Gaddar Awards, Megastar Chiranjeevi took to Twitter. He urged the Telugu Film Producers Council and other organizations to actively work towards implementing the government’s proposal.

Chiranjeevi’s tweet quickly went viral on social media, prompting the entire film industry to take notice. Responding to his call, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce issued a press note today acknowledging the proposal.

“At the outset, the Telugu Film Industry conveys its sincere thanks to Sri A. Revanth Reddy garu, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana State, and Sri Komatireddy Venkatreddy garu, Hon’ble Minister for Cinematography. For their keen interest in developing the Telugu Film Industry in Telangana,” the press release stated.

The chamber further expressed appreciation for CM Revanth Reddy’s support. Highlighting the Telugu Film Industry’s recent achievements in expanding its reach across India and matching Hollywood standards. They welcomed the government’s initiative to establish the Gaddar Awards, which will honor artists and technicians across various fields of Art and Craft, not just within the Telugu Film Industry. They also discussed forming a committee in collaboration with the Telangana State TV & Film Development Corporation to move forward with this initiative.

“We, the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce and Telugu Film Producers’ Council, will constitute a committee consisting of Representatives from the Telugu Film Industry. We will formulate the necessary guidelines in consultation with the Telangana State TV & Film Development Corporation and present them to the Hon’ble Chief Minister and Hon’ble Cinematography Minister at the earliest,” the press release, signed by Secretary Damodar Prasad KL, concluded.

This demonstrates that Megastar Chiranjeevi remains a key figure in the industry, consistently advocating for its welfare.
