N Convention Demolished by HYDRA, What’s Next for Nagarjuna?

The recent actions of HYDRA teams in Hyderabad have caused considerable unease among influential figures in the city. The Revanth Reddy-led government has taken a firm stance against illegal constructions. And has begun to crack down on them aggressively.

In a major development today, HYDRA initiated the demolition of the N Convention Center in Madhapur, Hyderabad. This property, sprawling across 10 acres, has allegedly encroached upon approximately 1.12 acres of full tank-level land and an additional 2 acres in the buffer zone. Despite numerous complaints regarding these encroachments, no action has been taken until now.

Reports suggest that the management of the N Convention had managed to maintain a favorable relationship with the Telangana government. Which allowed them to avoid demolition since 2014. However, CM Revanth Reddy has taken a decisive approach, ordering the demolition of the building for its encroachment into the buffer zone of a large lake. This marks the most significant demolition action taken by Revanth since assuming office as Telangana’s Chief Minister.

The premises is reportedly owned by Tollywood celebrity Nagarjuna. Accompanied by a police contingent, the HYDRA authorities arrived at the spot in early hours of the day and started the demolition exercise.
