Prabhas sends his wishes to Salaar Director

Happy Birthday to filmmaker Prashanth Neel, who turns 44 today. To mark the occasion, superstar Prabhas, who stars in Neel’s latest film, “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire,.” Shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram Stories. The behind-the-scenes photo from the set shows Prabhas holding a sword under an umbrella. Standing next to Prashanth Neel, who looks stylish in an uber-cool outfit. Alongside the image, he wrote, “Love you, sir! Have a beautiful birthday!” adding a smiling emoji to express his affection.

“Salaar,” released in December last year, also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan in key roles. Ahead of the film’s release, Prashanth Neel addressed concerns about Prabhas’ recent box office setbacks with films like “Adipurush” and “Radhe Shyam.” In an interview with PTI, Neel asserted that Prabhas’ star power remains undiminished. “Prabhas is a big star. After ‘Baahubali,’ he became the biggest star. People are not going to forget something like that. Stars have always been stars; they can have one flop or 20 flops, they just need to give one hit. Recently, Shah Rukh Khan showed us that a star is always a star, there’s no denying that.”

Neel also discussed his approach to portraying him in “Salaar.” He emphasized that his goal was to transform the actor into his character rather than simply presenting Prabhas as himself. “There was never a pressure to make ‘Salaar.’ The idea is to make sure that the actor looks like a character. You don’t want to show Prabhas as Prabhas; you want to show him as a character, and I tried my best to do something like that.”

The story of “Salaar” is divided into two films, as Neel revealed in an interview. “Salaar is a story of two friends who become the biggest enemies. Friendship is the core emotion of ‘Salaar.’ We are telling half the story in ‘Salaar: Part One: Ceasefire.’ We are going to show this journey of friends throughout two films.”

In addition to “Salaar,” Prashanth Neel is also renowned for directing the highly successful KGF franchise, further cementing his status as a visionary filmmaker in the Indian cinema landscape.
