Sai Pallavi Set to Portray Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana

A throwback video of Sai Pallavi has created a buzz on social media, surprising netizens. The video captures Sai Pallavi dancing to Katrina Kaif’s iconic song “Sheila Ki Jawani” from the movie “Tees Maar Khan” at what appears to be a college fest. In the clip, Sai Pallavi mesmerizes the audience with her rendition of Katrina’s popular dance moves, setting the stage ablaze.

A social media user shared the video on X (formerly known as Twitter) with the caption, “#SaiPallavi in Sheela ki Jawani song at her College Fest.” The video quickly went viral, garnering attention from fans and admirers alike.

On the professional front, Sai Pallavi is all set to star as Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming adaptation of Ramayana. Opposite her, Ranbir Kapoor will portray the role of Lord Ram. Initially, Alia Bhatt was considered for the role of Sita but had to opt out due to scheduling conflicts.

Recent reports suggest that Sai Pallavi is demanding Rs 6 crore for her portrayal of Goddess Sita, while Ranbir Kapoor has purportedly requested Rs 75 crore for his role. However, official confirmation regarding these figures is yet to be announced.

The filming for Ramayana commenced earlier this month, with Sai Pallavi expected to join the sets soon. A magnificent set resembling Ayodhya has been constructed in Mumbai for the production.

Apart from Sai Pallavi and Ranbir Kapoor, the star-studded cast of Ramayana includes Yash from “KGF” fame, who will play the role of Ravana. Sunny Deol is reportedly confirmed for the character of Hanuman. Bobby Deol and Vijay Sethupathi are also said to be in talks for the roles of Kumbhakarna and Vibhashana, respectively. Arun Govil, renowned for his portrayal of Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s “Ramayana,” will essay the role of King Dashrath. Additionally, Lara Dutta is set to portray Kaikeyi in the movie.

While reports suggest a Diwali 2025 release for Ramayana, there has been no official confirmation regarding the same.
