SS Rajamouli and his wife were invited to join the Oscars Academy
SS Rajamouli, the acclaimed director who put Tollywood and Indian cinema on the world map. With masterpieces like Eega, Baahubali 1 & 2, and the internationally acclaimed RRR. Is back in the spotlight for a highly anticipated reason. He is among the 487 individuals the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) invited to join their ranks. Making him eligible to vote in the 2025 Oscars. Joining him in this honor is his wife, Rama Rajamouli, the costume designer for his films.
Rajamouli’s RRR garnered significant international acclaim. Winning the Oscar for Best Original Song for “Naatu Naatu” and earning a nomination for Best Visual Effects. These achievements further solidified Rajamouli’s reputation on the global stage, showcasing the prowess of Indian cinema.
