SSMB29 to Release in Two-Part Franchise.

Superstar Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated project SSMB29, helmed by visionary director S.S. Rajamouli, recently completed an important shooting schedule in Africa. The team filmed key portions in Nairobi, Kenya, before wrapping up the schedule. During the visit, Rajamouli also met with Kenya’s Cabinet Minister for Foreign Affairs, Musalia Mudavadi.

Following this, several Kenyan newspapers reported that SSMB29 would be released in two parts, drawing comparisons with epic franchises like Baahubali and KGF. However, reliable sources close to the production clarified that the film is being planned as a single-part release.

Rajamouli, known for his meticulous approach, reportedly opts for a multi-part structure only when the story demands it. Unless he feels it is absolutely necessary, he avoids splitting films into multiple parts. Hence, despite international reports, it is most likely that SSMB29 will come as a standalone film.

Interestingly, in Rajamouli’s interaction with Minister Mudavadi, it was revealed that the movie is set for an unprecedented release across 120 countries on March 25, 2027. This would mark a record-breaking global rollout, surpassing earlier wide international releases of Indian films such as Salman Khan’s Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, and Hrithik Roshan’s Vikram Vedha, which were released in over 100 countries.

With such a massive scale planned, fans can expect SSMB29 to be a milestone in Indian cinema. An official confirmation from the team is awaited, but expectations are already sky-high.
