Bharateeyudu 2 ticket hike approved in Telangana
Increasing ticket prices for high-budget, pan-India films is a common trend, recently seen with “Kalki 2898 AD.” Following suit, Kamal Haasan’s “Bharateeyudu 2” has also secured approval for higher ticket prices in Telangana. The state government has permitted an additional fifth show and increased ticket prices by Rs. 75 for multiplexes and Rs. 50 for single screens.
Interestingly, there hasn’t been the significant buzz around “Indian 2,” with slow bookings in Tamil Nadu. The film’s success hinges on exceptional word-of-mouth. The anticipation in Telangana is similarly muted, but the filmmakers aim to capitalize on the higher ticket prices.
Bharateeyudu 2 ticket hike approved in Telangana
Some netizens are unhappy with the government’s decision to hike prices for a dubbed film, noting that Telugu films like “Baahubali,” “RRR,” and “Kalki” never received special rates or benefit shows in Tamil Nadu. This situation highlights the Telugu industry’s non-discriminatory approach towards straight and dubbed films.
The price hike might be justified if “Bharateeyudu 2” garners excellent reviews and a strong public response, but even average feedback could pose challenges. The filmmakers have also requested a price increase in Andhra Pradesh, which is likely to be approved.
