CCL 2024: Defending champions Telugu Warriors out
A match between Chennai Rhinos and Kerala Strikers to decide whether Telugu Warriors would make it to the play-offs.
All the South teams took to the game field on March 10th in Thiruvananthapuram for the last 2 group matches. Having won the three group encounters and securing the top position, net run rate chart and points being one in the two play off’s.
While now Kerala Strikers have been eliminated registering only 1 win. Mumbai Heroes and Bengal Tigers did secure a play off just a day earlier. Now it was Chennai Rhinos and Telugu Warriors to get to the last slot.
Akhil Akkineni’s team has trashed the Karnataka Bulldozers and moved to the 4th place, while Chennai Rhinos has slipped down to 5th place. But the final match is yet to be played.
The playoffs will feature a series of intense clashes. The top two teams will compete in the first qualifier, while the third and fourth-placed teams will battle out in the eliminator.
The stakes remain high as the winner of the eliminator will advance to face the loser of the first qualifier in the second qualifier. This crucial match will determine one of the finalists for the CCL 2024. The pinnacle of the tournament, the CCL 2024 final, will take place in Vizag on March 17.
